2% pentru Plai

Do you like PLAI? Then you can contribute to the festival’s development in future. It’s no secret that organizing such events implies, taking aside the work, quite a lot of money. We are a young, non-governmental, non-profit organization that aims to promote arts and multiculturality and wants to create and provide development opportunities through diversity. Virtually every cent that goes into our organization’s account is used for next year’s edition of PLAI Festival. The more money we have, the bigger the names of the artists performing at PLAI.

This is not a request for sponsorship, but a call to support a nonprofit, nongovernmental, cultural organization, consisting of volunteers and devoted to common good. So how do you do this? Simple and without spending any cents from your own pocket: by directing 2% of the income tax that you pay anyway to the state to Asociaţia Culturală Sunet Ambianţă Timişoara. In fact you’re asking that a part of the tax you pay be sent to an organization that does something that speaks to you and represents you.

You should know and keep in mind that PLAI Festival is organized entirely with the effort of a group of young volunteers. Nobody gets paid for this. Our only reward is a work well done and the joy of seeing that those who come to PLAI value this work. And it is only natural that things are like this, since PLAI isn’t a business from which someone should gain money, but essentially a cultural project.

The procedure

To direct 2% of your taxes to Asociaţia Culturală Sunet Ambianţă Timişoara – and implicitly to PLAI Festival – follow the steps below:
Note down our organization’s identification information:

a) If you have income from one employer (one employment spot and one source of income), complete the 230 Application, “Application regarding the destination of the amount representing up to 2% of the annual tax” that you download from our website or from the Ministry of Finance’s website. At Chapter B you will put down Asociaţia Culturală Sunet Ambianţă Timişoara’s information indicated above. Under “Amount”write down the amount representing 2% of the tax you owe for your income. If you do not know the amount, don’t write anything, the Financial Administration will fill this information in.

b) If last year you received income from multiple sources, use the Statement 200, “Special statement regarding your income (you will receive it by mail at home, from the Financial Administration or you can download it from the Ministry of Finance’s website). At Chapter III, “Destination of the amount representing 2% of the due annual income tax”, paragraph 2, “Sponsorship of non-profit entities” fill in Asociaţia Culturală Sunet Ambianţă Timişoara’s information indicated above. Under “Amount” put the equivalent of the 2% of income tax or don’t write anything because the Financial Administration will do it. The document is submitted to the Financial Administration registry or you can send it by post, by registered mail.

through which taxpayers can have a say about the destination of an amount representing 2% of the annual tax, for sponsoring nonprofit entities, in accordance with Law No. 571/2003 on the Fiscal Code, as amended and supplemented. Completing the attached application, you can direct 2% of the annual income tax towards Asociaţia Culturală Sunet Ambianţă Timişoara and, implicitly to PLAI Festival.

What does volunteering at PLAI mean?

It means to want to organize a quality event, a diverse event which can bring joy to beautiful people. It means to want to make something happen, because that something is needed. It means sleepless nights with a lot of coffee, telephone calls and walkie-talkies. It means extraordinary artists with which you can talk about your favorite music, it means NGOs that make great things, it means friendships with people that you wouldn’t meet otherwise. Being a volunteer at PLAI means joining us, young people, just like you, who dared to dream this beautiful dream which came true as PLAI.

We have a lot of work waiting for you, fresh air, green grass, great people and some basic jobs from which to choose from.

* if you are one of those energetic, full of life kind of people, then deccorating will suit you perfectly (building bars, putting up tents, making sitting pillows, mounting banners etc.)

* if you’re a talkative person, a people person, we’d say you’re good for the PR team (putting festival wristbands, explaining rules at PLAI’s entrance etc. )

* as for the active, morning person (but not only them) Eco-fun (morning cleaning etc) and Good-for-everything is where you’re needed

* are you a night owl? Excellent!! We have a special place for you as party-support person and many other just like it where you can show us what you’re made of

* now for superfans of the artists who will be performing at PLAI, we have a bonus: the chance to be an artist guide.
