Alvik (Czech Republic)

After seeing and hearing them at PLAI 2008 you can say you like Alvik for their specific way of taking jazz through acoustic, electric or even through abstract hip-hop and drum’n'bass.
Or you could say that you liked each artist separately: excellent melodic line of keyboards, electrical impulses of the synthesisers, creative rhythms, the flute with a very modern and imaginative sound and the way these all go together with the well-tempered bass and lyrics composed by vocalist Anya Stuart.

We believe Alvik was a great and memorable surprise for many.
