Pentatones is an experimental band that cleverly combines different genres of music and visual effects, from hip-hop to jazz, digital beats and electronic sounds. Pentatones started in 2002 with the album Mosaique Beats Orchestra, considered innovative in terms of combined musical ideas and images. Pentatones consists of Leschnigg, called “Pentatones’ right hemisphere of the brain”, who produces the beats, writing and arranging tracks; Hannes, who plays double bass, synthesizer and transverse flute, and other instrumentalists. At PLAI they came with YAWU LEAP (YouAreWatchingUS) band who produced the visual effects.
