Plai 2006

We are at the first edition of “Plai”, because this is how we chose to celebrate the multidute of cultures from Banat. Not through a festival of folklore, but of recognition of our cultural identities through diversity. As Banat learned. And us with it. We took inspiration from what we have experienced and we wanted to iinstil nspiration ourselves. At the Banat Village Museum. In 2006.
At PLAI 2006, in addition to the traditional Romanian house, Hungarian and Czech, Slovak, Bulgarian and Serbian, the skillful potter dipped our hands in clay; we carved wood, handpainted eggs on the Crafts Alley or learned some basic words in Romani on the Ethnic Alley. We saw movies, went through books, listened to people talking about books at The reading tent and we learned a thing or two about percussion on the Cultural Alley.
