Beefólk is the musical project of five young musicians from Graz, Austria.

What they have in common (aside from the flat they shared as students at the Conservatory): a fascination with what is new and different, together with the need to seek their individuality and express. So they started a small musical democracy: each brought to the sound of the band their own musical preferences, their own interpretation of classical music, that they agreed to blend with jazz and pop.

In the same spirit of creative democracy, the band members take turns in composing, voice or orchestrator. The result: a thoroughly fresh sound and surprisingly as a kaleidoscope – Austrian contemporary jazz in a surprising slapstick style.
